The course will also provide you with a wealth of stress management tips and strategies to help you address the root causes of your stress and manage your stress more effectively in the future.
As you progress through the course, you will be able to apply the learning and develop your own personalized stress plan.
The course is designed to be practical and relevant to real life. It includes a simple process you can follow to reduce your current stress and many ideas, tips and strategies on how to reduce and manage stress. The course takes a holistic view of stress management with stress management strategies for all areas of your life. This is not a theoretical or academic course on stress.
What are the objectives of the course?
The course aims to provide you with :
* An overview of stress, its impact, symptoms and causes.
* A 6-step stress management process you can follow to reduce and manage stress.
* A wealth of practical tips and stress management strategies to help you address the root causes of your stress and manage your stress more effectively in the future.
* Your own personalized stress plan, which you will develop during the course.
What is included in the course?
The course includes the following sections:
* Introduction including an introduction to the course and the tutor
* What is stress? can stress be good for you?
* How to reduce and manage stress including a stress management process you can easily follow to reduce your stress, including reviewing symptoms and causes of stress, taking steps to reduce stress, and taking intermediate steps to relieve symptoms.
* Stress Management Tips and Strategies featuring a wide range of practical tips and strategies (over 75 in total) to help you tackle the root cause of your stress and manage your stress in the future.
* Your stress plan Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to develop your own stress plan, including looking at your own stress, including how it manifests and its impact on you, understanding the causes of your stress, how to manage your stress and stress management tips and strategies you can use to reduce and manage your stress.
* Course summary including a brief summary of the course, a course quiz to self-assess your learning, and a checklist of all the tips and strategies covered in the course.
We have also included introductions and summaries throughout the course to facilitate learning.
The course is presented in the form of short lectures and you can see the detailed content of the course in the course programme.
Hands-on activities – Develop your own personalized stress plan and a course quiz
There are worksheets to complete as you progress through the course to develop your own personalized stress plan. This includes identifying the symptoms and causes of your stress, as well as steps you can take to reduce your current stress and strategies to positively manage stress in the future.
There is also a short multiple-choice quiz in the Course Summary section that you can use to assess your own learning of the course.
You will need to allow additional time beyond the duration of the videos to complete the worksheets and quiz.
